Stress Free Planning

Stress Free
Wedding Planning

It’s no secret that planning for your wedding or elopement can be overwhelming at times. Stress starts to sneak in between the excitement, which is 100% normal & expected. To mitigate large amounts of anxiety, here’s a few quick tips to help during your planning process.

1. Don’t plan out of obligation

There can be a lot of pressure to do x, y, & z for your wedding. Whether it’s from your friends, family, or wedding industry—the opinions pour in. When the suggestions feel forced, you’ll know that it’s feeling like an obligation rather than something you’re genuinely interested in implementing for your experience.

Specifically surveying empty traditions or current trends, it can start to feel overwhelming with all of the “you shoulds” & “rules” floating around. Remember that there are no rules & that your planning is based solely on your interests. Less about the production & more about the experience.

2. Follow your intuition

When you’re planning any part of your wedding or elopement, always follow your gut. If it doesn’t resonate, don't force it. Listen to your inner guidance to avoid any stressors for your celebration.

It’s also not said enough that it’s okay to change your mind about something while planning. If you were once set on a certain idea but later have a change of heart, THAT’S OKAY! Listen to your intuition. You’ll be glad you did!

3. Hire a day-of planner

Having a professional delegate day-of tasks is the best help you can receive to have a smooth sailing day. Not only will they be your right hand friend the day-of, but they’ll help bring your vision to life & keep things on track with your timeline.

A day-of planner is a great option if you’re the DIY type, but want some extra help on the big day. They’ll take the weight off your should so that you can be fully present & soak in your moments without worrying if the cookies are put in the right spot.
